Manual Grinding Positions (Permanent Contract)

Loadpoint Bearings have manual grinding opportunities, on a permanent  basis within our company as we expand our workshop.

We looking for experience grinders who are capable of working to tight micron limits using manual grinding machines (Jones & Shipman, Myfords, Studers).

We also use CNC Studer grinding machines, having the ability to use this type of machine would be useful to assist operator holiday cover.

Grinder/Inspector Position (Permanent Contract)

Loadpoint Bearings are looking for a workshop based inspector, for our expanding inspection department.

The ideal candidate would be inspection based, but would also be required to work a manual grinding machine, or fulfil other workshop based duties during quieter times.

This job is a new position, so we are open to discussion on the exact job role; however it is essential that the candidate has some knowledge of using a CMM measuring machine.

Assembly Technicians (Permanent Contract) 

Loadpoint Bearings are looking for Assembly Technicians, for our assembly department to carry out the following duties.

1). The assembly of air bearing spindles.

2). Fitting parts together with micron clearances.

3). Installing motors and encoders into spindles.

4). Assembling of wiring looms to spindles.

5). Carrying out spindle testing :- air flow rate, water flow rate, testing load capacity…

6). Running air bearing spindles to speed using electronic drives.

7). Finalising with test certificate and data entered in to PC using Excel; and signing off the certificate.

Other duties will be repairing spindles, taking them apart, assessing the damage, filling out a repair report and eventually repairing the spindle and testing it.

Full training will be given for the first 12 months.
